,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, An interview of zyntifox (kuski of month on Jan. 2001): ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' -= Ex Teams =- When I played across for the short period of time I played it, the first and the last across team I was in was Cavemen Crossers. I had a sucky total like 43 or 44 or something after one month of playing. Cavemen Crossers soon broke up and then Elma came. I hadn't much expectations to myself unless I was going to höyl hangman a lot which was my favorite track in across too. I got quickly 15.47 on hangman which was 4 hundreds behind Champs WR 15.43. Then one day I was home and I found this little twist on hangman by which I could save time, and I god damn beat Champ with 1 hundred! I was fucking happy and gave elg and other friends I trusted the rec. The zcalic team TWN found their interest in me and I joined them and gave my hangman rec to calmec there which is one of my biggest mistakes beside giving ramp frenzy to Jeppe I think :P. Elg beat of course my Hangman wr with my own twist before I was on the list for one table, and I almost stopped playing elma in my hatred to elg :P. I left TWN pretty soon and joined UkC, which was an 100% Norwegian clan, and the only challenger to tlD of being the best Norwegian clan. We was far behind ;). UkC soon splitted up, and I created SC together with elg and total. Most of you know the rest :) -= Your own best WRs? =- Well none of my wrs is very extreme, but the best of them I think would be Hangman because I have hoyled it almost as much as Jeppe ;) -= Best WRs? =- Well must admit that Jeppe's flat track is pretty amazing if he hasn't cheated it down some hundreds... Joni's Upside Down WR has stood for a while now and no one is even close to it. I guess that's one of the best. Another remarkable wr is pajens Apple harvest. That's a crazy one. -= Current total =- 41:45 -= Location =- I live in the capitol of Norway, Oslo. -= Across Career briefly? Any WRs?, World Cup I and II and so on.. =- Hehe, I played across only 2-3 months while elma wasn't out and everyone started to play elma instead. But in the later time I played some across and took wr on The Steppes and WR on Hangman. But I guess no one really care about those anymore :). Didn't even care one fuck about any of the wcups, did hardly know there was any :P -= How did you get Across/Elma? Was it your worst mistake? or best..? =- Hmm... Don't really recall how I got interest in across, but it sure was through Elg or Totalnew. It's definitely one of my worst mistakes, cause it took up so much time and you had to play all the time to keep in thouch with the rest of the elmers. I can't say much positive that happened to me with elma. -= Favourite internals / most irritating internals: =- I guess hangman is my favourite internal. Thought Hangman was a great lev all from the start. Ramp Frenzy and lab pro is also very funny levs, which can keep you playing a lot if you get into their styles. -= Are there some kind of external contests you like? =- Well I liked Totalnew's new internal contest pretty much. Great levs from many different kuskis, and of course the Wcup was interesting the first time, but it lasted too long. -= Best lgr in your mind? Which lgr did you use? =- When I decided to stop playing elma I used the original lgr. But I used the Across lgr and the Nightdriver lgr a lot. But the Nightdriver lgr was awful on some levs and I didn't know about the texture changing prog back then. I also used the Style bike by MTB_Ace a lot. -= Favourite music and movies..? =- Now I listen very much to The Doors and Radiohead, but other groups I have opened an eye for lately is Bob Hund and Kent. My favorite movies is The Matrix (ooh, big surprise) and Fight Club. American History X is also a great movie. -= Your opinion about MC Studios and MUe's Elma animations: =- Well, I must unfortunately admit that I haven't cared so much for MC Studios, but the idea sounds funny ;). Mue's elma animations are funny, and I really liked his elma picnic animation. -= Mention some good things you have gotten with Across/elma? =- The only good thing is that I'm a greater competition man than I was before. Nothing more. -= Mention some bad things you have gotten from Across/elma? =- Less time being with friends, red eyes, late nights, dozing off at school and much more. -= Do you want we others (after your retiring) try to keep up Elma scene/culture/society/religion? Or should we go to hell? =- You guys have done a great job keeping up the elma scene with your moposite, and if moposite disappears I think many will stop playing elma. Well the elma scene should be kept up cause many people have great fun playing elma, although, to be honest, I wouldn't care fuck if they went to hell. -= What is the most fucking thing you have face in your career? (like losing some wr or get 2:34 on laby pro but hit head to the ground 2 secs before finishing the level etc.) =- Hehe, it's funny you mention Lab Pro because that lev has annoyed me quite a lot. The fucking bounce is so frustrating, and when you can drive 2.31 if you just had made the fucking bounce, it's pretty annoying to not make it. But I guess the time where I felt must down after a round with elma was when I banged my head on hangman 1 mm from the flower on 14.84 when Jeppe had the wr on 14.99. Then I felt like throwing my keyboard out of the window or something. It was also the same day as I got 14.96 on hangman but managed to delete the state.dat in overexcitement :). -= Your best achievements? =- My best achievement is my hangman wr, simply because it is my favourite lev. Jeppe will probably take it from me any time now cause HE LOVES TAKING ZYNTIWRS OK?!?!??!ME ROXXOR PETRI, OK!!!!11ME NEW ZYNTIWRS GOT!!11 -= Are you a student (how good?-)), worker... tell something about that. =- Well I'm a sucky worker but still I get pretty ok grades. Don't do a fuck with homework but gets 4 out 6 grades usually ... sometimes 3 out of 6 sometimes 5 out of 6, but never 2 out of 6 or 6 out of 6... pretty stabile. -= How much did you play in your sickest period? (hoyling flat track or something?-)) =- Haha, it took me maybe 1 hour all together to get from 16.88 to 16.82 in flat track. The sickest must be when I played Labpro 3 hours in one day and didn't improve it one fuck. Good that the lev is pretty funny :) -= Why did you decide to stop playing? =- I simply grew tired of have to keep up my wrs in all those tracks, and when I suddenly lost many at once, I saw no point of continue cause it would take up too much time. So I decided to just don't care anymore. -= Best memories with elma? =- It was even when I thought I would get a wr on hangman, or it was then I beat elg on Hangman again. Beating Jeppe on Sink again was also pretty enjoyable :) -= Best Elma friends? (mention about 10 or so) =- Hah, I will only say those in SC, StikkyBear, Hotwax and DeG. The rest I have a pretty neutral connection too, except for mrDJ who I dislike the most of any kuski. -= Did you have a life when playing elma? =- Sure I did! Just a little less life :). Sure I went to the cinema, went to the parties, spent time with my friends and other stuff. Elma don't take your life away from you unless you play 24/7 like Jeppe, but you just don't get as much social life as you usual would. -= Do you have a life NOW?-) =- More than ever :) -= Write something about the game, fellow kuskis, moposite, #across, whatever =- Well I can use this place to say that I would have stopped playing this game much earlier if it wasn't for all the competition I got from you (especially from Jeppe). Although Jeppe is a big lamer, I have nothing against him really. He's just a bit stupid I think, hoyling after teamwrs while in SC and claim he played the lev to get his total down. Then I can mention those who have ment a lot of me in my elma career: Totalnew, for giving me support all the way to the end(...). Elg, for giving me competition all the way to push me to the top. DeG, for getting me interested in Hangman ;). And StiKKy for also being one of the greatest IRC pals and supportive d00d I know. zyntifox 01 February 2001, (questions by Abula)
